There is only one way to manifest the abundant vibrations around YOU and lean into your true calling. That's right. Just ONE thing. Pure simplicity. Pure gold.
For starters, I need you to know, that YOU HAVE IT IN YOU already. Sitting there, just waiting for your sun, your solar array, your compass...to pour into it and make it come alive.

Lets back up a sec. I'll start off by sharing a lil tid bit (shining some light on if you will) one aspect of my homesteading journey that keeps me leaning in.
After YEARS of fighting a breed of sheep that persisted to not serve us in the ways we needed on our homestead, we were frustrated, exhausted and damn near quit. "The grass is NOT always greener on the other side of that fence my frolicking fiber friends"!!!???--> I kept protesting to my choir of Icelandic Houdini's..
After 7 YEARS of pure adolescence in the pasture... we decided it was time to throw in the towel (on the specific breed we were raising that is) and PIVOT into a more docile, multipurpose breed.
Fact >>>I need lush, beautiful fiber to produce the high quality goods I offer to my customers. I need a sheep that is friendly and easy to handle. The type that help raise my children into a kindred holistic sense of wonder and nurturing that so few children actually get to experience in their lifetime. I needed a change, and in this, I found Finns.
I vividly remember the day about 3 years ago, when I said YES to this spark of innovation... this pull tapping into my sense that there MUST be a better way. I networked. I reached out to breeders pouring into what I NEEDED in our dream flock... and I connected with one of the top Finn breeders in our area, Siri Swanson of Orwell, VT.
Talk about all the feels!...I got to the farm, equipped in my trusty mud boots, ready for the chase... (One practiced all to often with our initial purebred sheep adventures...the Icelandics). I was ready for the coaxing, the time spent juggling the 3 sheep already in the car, and the 2 left on the pasture needing to be retrieved, a 25# bag of grain and all the sweat and tears I had to muster later. In my mind, I was a pro at this and I had the most exquisite plan of attack, pulled together over many days in the making.
Reality check... To your surprise, you may not already know all there is to know about handling sheep.
What I hadn't realized...What I hadn't been at all prepared for... was the different lense in which to view sheep BEHAVIOR that can also be applied to humans. Did you know there are over 1000 different breeds of sheep? They all have different wool characteristics, personality traits, mothering and milking abilities, color genetics, lambing rates? Sound familiar? (I do digress... )
Well, long story short, in this experience of picking up our new flock that day, our new Finnsheep, were easily walked up to my car, (some with a basic lead and a few without any lead at all)... and wounldnt a know, they basically jumped on up into my car without any coaxing at all! That was that. I honestly, could have worn flip-flops!
The stars were aligned that day and I fell in love immediately. I was in awe at this remarkable task. Shortly after, I brought home the best starter flock of finnsheep any gal could have imagined in the back of my trusty ol' Toyota Matrix... (Yep, the one with over 299,999 miles and counting...but I'll never really know, since the odometer stopped calculating past this point).
You see... when we prewrite the narrative in a negative way, we fail to realize value of experience. The abundance that exists in the vibrational energies being called up to serve us and our lifes purpose. TRUST comes from building relationship and community. It also requires that you LEAN INTO, be present and receptive to the learning and passion that happens in this sacred space. Providing opportunity to match your energy needs with that of your homestead is the most important pivot you can make to ensure not only a more enjoyable experience, but a more abundant one.
